Within its Electronics division, Ibiden manufactures crucial components such as IC package substrates, which are vital for data centers, personal computers, automotive electronics, and entertainment systems. The Ceramics segment offers an extensive range of products, including diesel particulate filters and specialized exhaust system components tailored for diverse vehicles like cars, buses, trucks, construction machinery, and agricultural equipment. Beyond its core manufacturing operations, Ibiden engages in several other ventures. These include the production and sale of decorative interior laminates, the design and construction of facilities, and environmental engineering services. The company is also involved in developing medical software packages, distributing information and communication terminals, and marketing welfare vehicles. Founded in 1912, Ibiden Co., Ltd. maintains its headquarters in Ogaki, Japan. The enterprise was originally established as Ibigawa Electric Power Co., Ltd. before adopting its current corporate name in November 1982.
