Its business is structured into four main segments: The Gas Processing segment is responsible for converting natural gas, sourced from fields off Peninsular Malaysia's East Coast, into market-ready sales gas and other valuable derivatives, including ethane, propane, and butane. Within its Gas Transportation division, the company oversees a vast 2,623-kilometer pipeline network, comprising the Peninsular Gas Utilization and Pengerang systems, for the movement of sales gas. It also manages the transport of smaller gas volumes through its distribution systems in Miri and Bintulu, Sarawak, and facilitates gas exports to Singapore. Additionally, this segment offers essential operation and maintenance services. The Regasification segment specializes in the conversion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) back into its gaseous form. It further provides related services such as LNG reloading, truck loading, and gassing up and cooling down operations. Lastly, the Utilities segment focuses on manufacturing and supplying crucial industrial utilities to petrochemical complexes situated in the Kertih and Gebeng Industrial Areas. This encompasses electricity, steam, various industrial gases (such as oxygen and nitrogen), and different water types (demineralized, raw, cooling, and boiler feed water), serving petrochemical facilities and the national power grid. Operational and maintenance services are also provided by this segment. Incorporated in 1983 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, PETRONAS Gas Berhad operates as a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad.
