Beyond the automotive industry, Nifco also manufactures various household items such as soft-closing drawer mechanisms, push-to-open latches, earthquake-resistant fasteners, and door dampers. The company further supplies components for consumer electronics and office automation, including different types of dampers, adjustable free-stop hinges, magnetic catches, and push latches. Its product line extends into the fashion and sports industries with items like side release buckles, cord locks, and other fastening hardware. In addition to these, Nifco is involved in the manufacturing and sale of beds, as well as the import and retail of furniture products. Originally founded in 1946 as Japan Industry Fastener Inc., the company underwent a name change to Nifco Inc. in December 1970 and maintains its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
