For offshore facilities, IHI manufactures LPG/LEG storage tanks, floating LNG/LPG production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) units, semi-submersible rigs, and mega-float structures. Within industrial systems and general-purpose machinery, IHI engages in real estate activities, including leasing, sales, and housing development. Its product portfolio extends to compressors, cryogenic products, logistics systems, steelmaking equipment, machinery for ships, vehicle turbochargers, separators, lubricating systems, pulp and paper machinery, materials handling systems, agricultural machinery, parking systems, boilers, and various life-associated equipment. The company also offers factory solutions, heat treatment, and surface engineering services. Finally, in the aero engine, space, and defense sector, IHI develops aero engines, air traffic control systems, rocket systems, and comprehensive space exploration solutions. Founded in 1853, the company was originally known as Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. before officially adopting the name IHI Corporation in 2007. Its headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan.
