By the close of 2021 (specifically, December 31st), its total installed capacity had reached 8,218.7 megawatts. Beyond electricity, the company is active in natural gas transportation, managing a 4,500 km network of pipelines across Brazil's Southeast, Northeast, and North regions. Furthermore, it holds interests in the solar panel sector, covering manufacturing, wholesale and retail sales, as well as operational management and maintenance services. Originally established as Tractebel Energia S.A., the company adopted its current name, Engie Brasil Energia S.A., in July 2016. Its inception dates back to 2005, with its main offices located in Florianópolis, Brazil. Engie Brasil Energia S.A. functions as a subsidiary under the umbrella of ENGIE Brasil Participações Ltda.
