Conversely, the SMO segment is dedicated to the design, engineering, and manufacturing of specialized seismic equipment for both land and marine data acquisition, encompassing seismic recording devices, software, and various seismic energy sources like land vibrators and marine systems. This division also delivers sensing and monitoring solutions through well-known brands such as Sercel, Metrolog, GRC, DeRegt, and Geocomp, supported by comprehensive customer service and training programs. Viridien's diverse offerings serve applications across natural resources, environmental protection, infrastructure development, energy transition initiatives, and digital sectors. Established in 1931 and headquartered in Massy, France, the company was formerly known as CGG until its name change to Viridien in May 2024.
