The Printing & Solutions division supplies a range of products, including inkjet printers, both monochrome and color laser printers, fax machines, and scanners. This segment also offers electronic stationery such as labeling systems, and portable and label printers. For the Personal & Home market, Brother provides home sewing and cutting machines, alongside various sewing and embroidery machines, including those designed for commercial use. The Machinery segment concentrates on industrial equipment, manufacturing industrial sewing machines, machine tools, and garment printers. This division also produces industrial components like reducers and gears. Under the Network & Contents umbrella, the company offers online karaoke systems, music boxes, mobile device applications, healthcare support equipment, and content services, in addition to managing karaoke clubs. The Domino segment specializes in coding and marking machinery, as well as digital printing equipment. Finally, the Others segment encompasses real estate ventures and other ancillary activities. The company was founded in 1908 as Nippon Sewing Machine Manufacturing Co. and was renamed Brother Industries, Ltd. in 1962.
